Technology Enhanced Learning Strategy 2017-2020

CIT's Technology Enhanced Learning Strategy is at its heart about planning for ways in which TEL can support the creation of new online learning pathways and can help enrich the learning experience of all our students.

The last few years have seen significant developments in the roll-out of online and blended learning offerings in the institute with 15 such programmes now in existence. In addition, there is an ever-growing use of Technology Enhanced Learning to support on-campus learning. The new strategy is about consolidating and extending such activity, focussing resources and responding strategically to other challenges and opportunities Technology Enhanced Learning brings with it.

The Strategy Document

The strategy document below is the result of an extended period of reflection, writing and consultation across a lot of different levels of institute beginning in late 2016 and continuing throughout 2017. The strategy was approved by the Institute Executive Board (IEB) in December 2018. Since then some additional prose has been added to provide some background to the inital graphics that address the need for the strategy, its potential benefits and some guiding principles and precepts fo TEL in the institute. The final version of the strategy can be viewed below.
