CIT Research Promotion

Type: Web Design & Development Year: Ongoing Partners:  Nimbus Center, CAPPA

The Need:

In order to publicise and provide information on research projects within CIT, video and/ or animated resources are frequently developed in order to present the results of these projects to project stakeholders.

The Solution:

A number of promotional videos and animations were developed for individual projects to provide information on the results and general aims and objectives. These promotional resources are also intended to be of use in the promotion of the project results following the end of the project funding periods.

  • AQUA-PULSE: The promotional video for the AQUA-PULSE project is designed to provide a short overview detailing some of the work accomplished to date.
  • SCUBA: The promotional video for the SCUBA project is designed to promote the project concept and outline the benefits of the product.

Who's Who?

  • SCUBA is an FP7 project co-ordinated by the Nimbus Centre to create novel architecture, services, and engineering methodologies for robust, adaptive, self-organising, and cooperating monitoring and control systems.
  • The AQUA-PULSE project aims to realise a low-power, low-maintenance water purification solution based on high-brightness UV Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) and a photocatalysis method. The Centre for Advanced Photonics & Process Analysis (CAPPA), part of the Photonics Research Cluster within CIT's Department of Applied Physics & Instrumentation, is involved in AQUA-PULSE.
  • The National Sustainable Building Energy Test Bed facility to examine ideas for future energy-saving products and services in a real environment is now up and running at Cork Institute of Technology (CIT)’s Nimbus Centre.
