Reusable Learning Resources (RLR) Project
SATLE Funded Project
2023 -
An initiative of the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education in partnership with the Higher Education Authority (HEA), focusing on driving teaching and learning innovation, and enhancement across the higher education sector.
A call for proposals gave rise to a number of RLR Projects that TEL and EDSU will facilitate and support in 2023.

A suite of open-source learning resources will be developed to assist students in their learning and understanding of careers and fundamental concepts associated with instrumentation and control strategies

E-learning Module Resources for Architectural Technology

A self-paced e-learning resource for developing a basic understanding of universal design in buildings with a specific focus on compliance with Part L of Building Regulations

LEARN BIG, STUDY SMALL

A series of information sheets illustrating first principles and best practices associated with technical detailing and prompting criteria that need to be addressed by students when undertaking to detail exercises on courses in architecture/built environment

Marine Alternative Fuel and Power Systems

An e-learning module dealing with issues related to the de-carbonisation of merchant shipping worldwide

BioBites: Bite-size Knowledge for Fossil-free Sustainable Development

Digital learning resources about bio-based, fossil-free and circular innovations, technologies, business models and governance strategies that are essential components of our global transition towards more sustainable development pathways

RLR for Reflective Writing

A microlearning resource that will allow students to take agency in improving their reflective writing abilities, while also supporting teaching staff in integrating it into their modules

“Croí” is a practical tool that supports educators in implementing ethics and values into education programs. It advocates the integration of students’ personal values and goals into work, to encourage an ethical approach

Audio-Visual Training Supports for Research Proposal Writing

The project proposes to develop video resources to support existing training provided for postgraduate (PG) candidates developing research proposals It is mostly focused on developing outline proposals in both Masters and PhD programmes prior to the external review process

This is to support and accommodate a diverse cohort of students and align with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles

Digital version of “Pause, Explore and Flourish” - A Creative Journal to Nurture Well-being

A creative wellbeing journal created in collaboration with students to support student/staff wellbeing for use as teaching material in the creative, educational and social fields will be converted into a digital version to extend the reach of the project as a Reusable Learning Resource
