BioBites: Bite size knowledge for fossil-free sustainable development

Category: Podcasting

Summary: This project aimed to create multimedia learning resources about bio-based, fossil-free and circular innovations, technologies, business models and governance strategies that are essential components of our global transition towards more sustainable development pathways.  The resource produced include short, “bite-size” audio material, in the form of interview-based, podcast-type recordings that demonstrate relevant concepts, case studies, technologies, etc. These support MTU educators to bring subjects to life in modules and courses concerning the bio-economy, circular economy and sustainable, low-carbon transition (e.g. Certificate in Circular Economy).

Nature of Reusability: These podcasts can be reused in other programmes, e.g. BSc. in Agricultural Science, Pharmaceutical Science, BBus. in Business. As an open resource library available through streaming sites, e.g. YouTube and Spotify, students and the general public can engage with essential subject matter for low-carbon and zero-carbon sustainable futures, in a brief and lively format that addresses diverse learning needs and study environments.
