Furthering ECAAPT: Embedding Content Across Academic Programmes Tool
Category: Toolkit
Summary: The ECAAP toolkit was developed in 2021, through SATLE funding. This project further developed this toolkit from an Excel format into a reusable and accessible digital format.
This tracking and mapping tool will contribute to a more coordinated and cohesive approach to the teaching and learning of various skills in many disciplines. In addition, this tool has the potential to be used as a structure for building and developing new programmes coherently and logically. It should be possible to show where the content necessary to develop the desired graduate attributes is or could be, embedded across all stages of a programme.
This initiative is to create an automated system in Microsoft Excel that aims to streamline the process of generating detailed assessment reports by leveraging VBA forms for input and Excel's data manipulation features. The project is currently in its development stage, with core functionalities being tested and refined.
Nature of Reusability: By digitising and linking this toolkit to the university’s internal teaching and learning systems (eg. MyBan), or as a stand-alone app, the toolkit may become more accessible, user friendly and reusable.
